The Negro Manipulation Proclamation

On October 27, ten negro organizations in the UK jointly issued a 1-page "defense" of the Mayor's dutiful houseboy, Lee Jasper--the "black talking head for Jewish ventriloquism." As Bro. Spartacus points out, "Of the 10 organisations whose names appear on the document Mr. Lethal Jasper is directly involved as chair, president, spokesperson, secretary, etc., of 6 and is indirectly involved via shared executive membership with the other 4." The self-proclaimed "Black led Human Rights and race equality organisations in the UK" are as follows:

National Black Alliance

National Assembly Against Racism

The 1990 Trust

Operation Black Vote

The Peepul Centre

Birmingham Racial Attacks Monitoring Unit

Liverpool 8 law centre

National Black Students Alliance

Black Londoners Forum

Single Parent Aid

We have chosen not to publish their cheap negro manipulation proclamation unless and until the Jewish Chronicle and other white "news" outlets publish the statements and responses of Dr. Martin and his supporters. We may send it upon request to those e-mailing us at staff@blacksandjews.com.

Mayor's Uncle Tom Lee Jasper Does Dirty Work -- UK Blacks Protest -- Ask Other Invitees Not to Attend

Blacks are responding forcefully to the dis-invitation of the highly renowned Marcus Garvey scholar Dr. Tony Martin to a Black History Month event scheduled for October 25th in London. The event, an annual opportunity for Blacks to hear lectures from the world's top Black scholars, is arranged through the mayor's office which funds and promotes the event through its yassir-boss-negro Lee Jasper. It is Jasper who the mayor told to rescind the invitation. [Read Jasper's Dis-Invitation letter and responses from Dr. Martin]

Bro. Olatunji Heru's (Alkebu-Lan Revivalist Movement) RESPONSE to Clarence Lusane's Defense of Lee Jasper entitled "The enemies of the Black Community can never be our friends"

[editor's note: Clarence Lusane's article is not posted at this site for it's overabundance of standardized negro-istic nonsense. It is not needed, however, to absorb the wisdom of Bro. Olatunji Heru's excellent response.]

But who are the enemies of the Black Community?

I write on behalf of Bro. Leader Mbandaka and the above movement, in the spirit of love, unity and solidarity, as well as in staunch defence of our eminent teacher Baba Tony Martin.

We feel compelled to respond to what we consider to be grave and misleading misconceptions in your above-mentioned article. Please find herewith: 1) a letter from Bro. Ldr. Mbandaka to Bro. Lee Jasper and 2) a letter from this movement to the 1990 trust both dated 31.10.03, which address some of the issues you raise.

You will note that you were incorrect about The Eminent: Omowale Malcolm X and that he (the NOI) did meet with the Ku Klux Klan (1961). Furthermore, The Most Eminent Prophet and King, His Excellency: Marcus Mosiah Garvey did also meet and share platforms with them (1922). And, in 1949 after visiting Stalin's Russia, Paul Robeson refused to renounce the reported persecution of Jews.

Although Papa Garvey was most severely criticised by WEB Dubois, then head of the Jewish and white liberal founded and funded National Association for the Advancement of Coloured people (NAACP). Dubois later became disillusioned with the chicanery of his sponsors, abandoned his integrationist fantasies and embraced Papa Garvey's Pan-Afrikanist philosophy.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, the children of all the aforementioned were invited to speak in honour of their respective fathers' legacies. And Baba Tony Martin was invited as the foremost scholar on the legacy of Marcus Garvey, in place of his sons, who were both unavailable. This enormous contradiction makes a nonsense of the pretext for dis-inviting Baba Martin.

The logic and motive behind such controversial meetings can only be understood when we realise that our greatest enemy is not simply the "fascists, Ku Klux Klan or British National Party" but the global white supremacist. The custodians of an insidious, pernicious, largely covert, conspiratorial world system, without which the fascist, KKK and BNP -- relatively minor, overt, if grotesque manifestations -- could not exist.

This Euro-Anglo-US (western) imperialist system -- oft misnomered "democracy"-- presents a veneer of decency, respectability and philanthropy, whilst executing the most hideous crimes against humanity: Thus, far more Afrikan people suffer and die, daily at their hands, than at the hands of the "fascists, KKK, or BNP", per se. To the best of our knowledge, Zionist Israel and global white Jewry are key components of this system, their largest population and power base being, interestingly, in the USA.

These white supremacist control the resources and institutions of the world and thrive on the political oppression, economic exploitation, social degradation and genocide of our people: via the World Bank, the IMF, the World Trade Centre, The World Health Organisation, UN Security Council, CIA, the mass media, FBI, MI-5, MI-6, Metropolitan Police, US Army, British Army, European education systems, white Christian churches, not to mention puppet government regimes in Afrika and the Caribbean, etc.

It was not the KKK and BNP, etc., who enslaved and colonised us for five hundred years; who propped up the Apartheid (and neo-Apartheid) System in "South Afrika"; who wrote the American Constitution (article 1, section 2) deeming "Negroes" to be only three-fifths human; who wrote the Jewish Talmud that decreed that our Black skin, woollen hair and "elongated" phallus, were, symbols of a divine curse; or who destroy our children, daily, within the education system.

It was not the KKK, BNP, etc, who invaded Grenada in 1983. It was not the KKK, BNP, etc, who invaded and slaughtered three thousand Somali civilians, in 1993, and bombed the Al Shifa pharmaceutical manufacturing plant, in the Sudan, in 1998, under the spurious claim of fighting terrorism. It was not the KKK, BNP, etc., who saturated Jamaica and Afrikan communities in America with drugs and guns to avert "political independence" and the Black Power Movement.

It was not the KKK, BNP, etc., who injected seventy to one hundred million Afrikans with AIDS laced small pox vaccines (1970s), thus propagating the AIDS epidemic in Afrika. And the list of white supremacist atrocities goes on and on.

On the other hand, Papa Omowale Malcolm X alerted us that some of the people under the KKK hoods, at night, were the same school teachers, judges, police chiefs, Christian ministers, lawyers, doctors, politicians, etc., during the day.

Perhaps you can now see and understand this "long principle in Black politics", to meet with the 'honest face' of white supremacy, not to "legitimise" or "convince" them, but inter alia, to expose white-supremacist hypocrisy. Even Martin Luther King Jnr grew wise to this and said: "I have been gravely disappointed with such white moderates, I am inclined to think that they are more of a stumbling block to the Negro's progress than the White Citizens Councel or the Ku Klux Klanner" (emphasis mine). The question begs: is David Irving any more racist than Tony Blair, George Bush or Ariel Sharon? Should we share platforms with the likes of these?

No amount of "verbal acrobatics" can conceal the fact that the sudden withdrawal of the five-month old invitation, to Baba Martin, was due to external influence, i.e. the USA Jewish Lobby. The fact that they have been unsuccessful in their ten year campaign to dislodge Baba Martin from Wellesley College and the US lecture circuit, yet were successful with a "Black History Conference", in Britain, is an irony worthy of serious examination. Inevitably, any Afrikan involved in aiding and abetting this will become the subject of serious scrutiny before his people. By publicly assuming responsibility for the Mayor's blunder, Bro. Lee Jasper indicted himself and therefore could not escape Ma'atian judgement. Furthermore, his disdainful attitude toward brothers and sisters at the conferencewho shared a different view will not have endeared him to his people.

We are living in most treacherous times and can certainly least afford the luxury of naivety. Nana Kwaku Duah Dr. Leonard Jeffries -- urges us to make a "systems analysis" of everything, based upon a "Pan-Afrikan imperative" and to avoid the "paralysis of analysis".

Mama Frances Cress Welsing warns us: "If you don't understand 'white supremacy', what it is and how it affects you, then everything else that you think you understand will only confuse you."

The Eminent: Omowale Malcolm X, reminds us of the paradigm of the "house Negro and the field Negro". A vestige of slavery that predetermines our mindsets giving rise to the "Negro Revolution", as a concoction of the "White man" to destroy the "Black Revolution".

When we lose sight of these frames of reference, we fall victim to "intellectual incarceration" even as we become certified "thinkers" courtesy of white supremacist institutions.

It is not simply, about Lee Jasper, Dr. Tony Martin, Dr. Clarence Lusane, Bro. Olatunji Heru, etc., and our good or bad intentions. It is about socio-political forces that deem that we must be their perpetual slaves -- whether glorified or vilified. It is about their capacity to divide us and exploit us in their inimical schemes -- despite our good intentions -- versus our capacity to unite, empower ourselves and neutralise their effects.

Our intentions may well be good, but: "The road to hell is sometimes paved with good intentions". Thus, it is vital that our analyses are correct and that our actions are conducive to attaining our people's total liberation.

True it is that, "The enemies of the Black Community can never be our friends", but who are the enemies of the Black Community?

Alkebu-Lan Revivalist Movement Shows "Gratitude" for Lee Jasper

31 October 2003

Lee Jasper

Policy Director Equalities & Policing

Mayors Office

City Hall

Queens Walk

Dear Bro. Lee

Re: First Voice Conference (25.10.03)

I write to express my 'gratitude' for the discourtesy you extended to me and my children, at the end of the above conference.

To recollect, you had invited the gathering to ask "a couple of questions". The first speaker was invited to the front. I followed suit and would have been the second speaker. You looked up, saw me, turned away and then engaged in a series of procedural gymnastics: scanning the hall, calling for a young person, etc.

When my son (age 16) and nephew (age 18) answered the call, you also ignored them. You then took a question from an elder whom you allowed to bypass us and then another from another young person- even as we stood there and as you were about to close the conference.

It is the policy of my organisation to treat fellow Afrikans with the utmost respect maintain unity and restore the dignity the racist system strips from us everyday.

You proudly boasted your status as a father of nine. Was this your example of how our children's generation should treat each other?

We both know what preoccupations induced this obsession with censorship? But what if my question had related to Baba Tony Martin? What happened to the spirit of 'democracy' you so skilfully dramatised, just a few moments earlier?

As a matter of fact, I had intended to ask the panel to address the pivotal/influential role of Garveyism in the lives and legacies of their respective fathers. I also intended to ask if you would, in the said spirit of democracy, seek a consensus on the Baba Tony Martin issue, for next year.

I really don't think that this would have incited a 'major rebellion'. Indeed, it may even have quelled the outbursts of frustration, at the end, that could have got horribly out of hand, had your head of security not acceded to my advice, to maintain a 'hands-off' policy.

It is indeed sad that such a potentially great occasion was so fraught with irrational fears, censorship and alienation. Ironically, the historical personalities who were ostensibly being honoured, were all victims of the same intrusive, malevolent forces that prompted Baba Martin's disinvitation.

These Pan-Afrikanists lived and died for our people's liberation, forfeiting fortunes and privileges. In fact, their creed is to be found, not isolated in the city halls of the world's metropolises, but among the oft despised, rejected, feared, censored, marginalised, disrespected, misrepresented, demonised, etc., of the grassroots Pan-Afrikan Movement. This includes Baba Tony Martin, as well as the progenitor of Afrikan Heritage (Black History) Month, the Garveyite and 'Negro World' journalist, Carter G Woodson.

Finally, amongst the most important lessons I have learnt, from my studies of these greats, is that I cannot simultaneously serve my people and worship at the shrine of egoism and opportunism. Also: "you can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people, all of the time".

I am aware that the Afrikan United Action Front (AUAF) has written to the Mayor proposing a meeting. I trust that you will support and ensure it materialises.

PS. How can the Mayor applaud the militant spirit of self-determination in Palestine and Iraq, as well as democratic protests in Britain, yet suppress the voice of militancy and protest in the Afrikan community; "which serves to promote a greater understanding of the 'full picture'."

Re: "Statement Regarding Dr. Tony Martin" °© First Voice Conference

I write on behalf of Bro. Leader Mbandaka, and the Alkebu-Lan Revivalist Movement in response to the above.

As a Pan-Afrikanist Movement, we are committed to procuring Afrikan unity and solidarity across organisational and ideological lines. For this reason, we are seriously concerned about the misleading and divisive tone and content of your Statement.

Regarding your assertion that "the number of Dr. Martin supporters was in "single figures", and not widespread, we were not aware of any survey being conducted by which this could have been ascertained. However, we know that this is inaccurate for the following reasons:

As staunch Baba Martin Supporters, members of our organisation present numbered well into double figures. In addition, we were aware of a number of other Baba Martin supporters (organisations and individuals), also in attendance.

Furthermore, When Bro. Mbandaka, as a seminar panellist, pronounced our position; the audience applauded him. I am sure you are also aware that many other organisations boycotted the conference, in protest.

Most importantly, we Pan-Afrikanists are confident that the Eminent: Marcus Garvey, Omowale Malcolm X and Kwame Nkrumah would have been in firm solidarity with us on this matter.

Notwithstanding our position, many pro Baba Martin delegates resoundingly applauded the word of truth spoken by the sons and daughters of our prophets and heroes. But this did not negate our pain and indignation.

Alas, you seem to have adopted the position of guilt by association. We will not seek to persuade you of the folly and dangers of this. Suffice to say, that both Papa Garvey and Papa Omowale Malcolm X (idolised at the conference) met and/or shared platforms with the Ku Klux Klan. No intelligent or serious person would suggest that either theirs or Baba Martin's agendas were to endorse "far-right, racist, white supremacists". Granted, it is clear in your statement that you are not saying this.

The truth, however, is that this is not about appearances or associations. It is about the USA Jewish lobby's decade of onslaught against Baba Martin (and other Afrikan scholars), for daring to expose Jewish complicity with the Maafa (Afrikan enslavement and oppression).

The Pan-Afrikan community needs no advice regarding our entitlement to bring Baba Martin over. Baba Martin has made numerous speaking tours to Britain, in the past twenty years, courtesy of the Pan-Afrikan community. This is not our issue. Our issue is that we strongly resent the dictates of Jewish and white liberal paternalism, in respect of who our leaders and teachers must be.

On the subject of track records, Baba Martin's unblemished and unequivocal thirty year-plus record is as axiomatic, as it is magnificent. This has earned him enormous respect throughout the entire Afrikan Diaspora °© as much for his bravery as for his brilliance. Hence, it would be naïve to think that he could have been so unceremoniously dismissed, without serious consequences.

Whilst we completely agree that a political agenda based on hate and fear or personal abuse and nasty deeds would be totally unproductive. It is wrong to characterise supporters of Baba Martin in this vein. Evidently, so disciplined and organised we were that you assumed we were in single figures - supposedly, those engaged in the brief outburst at the end.

Moreover, the correspondences that we have seen have been predominantly constructive and appropriately focused on the issues.

On the other hand, Bro. Lee publicly insulting Bro. Ldr. Mbandaka, by blatantly ignoring him during the question and answer period, could be described as nasty, personalised and an abuse of his position (see attached letter by Bro. Ldr Mbandaka to Bro. Lee).

Indeed, "why attack (insult, disrespect) people who are helping in the struggle?" But does this only apply to Bro. Lee Jasper? What about the Pan-Afrikanists who are not only "campaigning for justice and equality", but fighting for our total liberation?

Why stereotype Pan-Afrikanists as abusive, hate mongers? Were not Marcus Garvey and Omowale Malcolm X the victims of such crude disingenuous propaganda? True it is that we must organise in "exposing the racist and fascist" The Pan-Afrikanists have a long history and tradition of so doing. Without this we would have no Kwame Nkrumah, WEB DuBois, etc., nor scholars such as Runoko Rashidi, Hunter Adams, Asa Hilliard (who withdrew), etc., to talk about.

But we must be clear that the fascists or the far-right are but an overt distraction from the insidious, covert racists/fascists of the conservative and liberal varieties:

Those who control the institutions that destroy our health and our children's education.

Those who foster and fund the "Black tokenism movement" to frustrate the Pan-Afrikan Movement and protect the status quo.

Those who orchestrated Malcolm X's murder, who framed and deported Marcus Garvey, who drove Paul Robeson to an asylum, who disillusioned WEB DuBois; who contrived Kwame Nkrumah's overthrow and who excluded Tony Martin from this conference. All because these men refused to be men of such lamentable character as described below - by founder of "Black History Month" - the Pan-Afrikanist - Carter G. Woodson.

"When you control a man's thinking, you do not have to worry about his actions. You do not have to tell him to stand here or go yonder. He will find his proper place and will stay in it. You do not need to send him to the back door. He will go without being told. In fact, if there is no back door, he will cut one for his special benefit. His education makes it necessary."

We trust you will circulate this correspondence to all the support organisations listed at the end of your statement. All of which we understand are closely associated with Bro. Lee Jasper.

Canadian Free Speech League Addresses the Mayor of London

Dear Lord Mayor Livingston.

I write to you as general counsel for the Canadian Free Speech League. We are a nonprofit organization, registered as a federal society in Canada dedicated to the maintenance and preservation of freedom of speech. As such we have become aware of your conduct in regard to Anthony C. Martin. He is a professor at Wellesley College in United States . As a result of your exercise of authority his invitation to speak in London England has been canceled. We write to express our shock and dismay at your conduct in this regard.

We are continually reminded of the great heritage of freedom of speech which derives from the British tradition of the common-law. We are especially respectful of the wonderful opportunities provided by Hyde Park corner which is a model for the world of the benefits of freedom of speech. We are all greatly indebted to the British parliamentary system which has given us so much of our heritage in the maintenance and preservation of freedom of speech.

As a result of the foregoing, we are much more deeply wounded, and offended by your conduct in denying a professor of the right to speak because of something you think he may have written to the detriment of Jews in regard to the slave trade. In fact I doubt that anything of that nature was written by Prof. Martin, who I have the honor to personally know. But even if it were to be the case that something that had been written or said by Prof. Martin that offended someone of the Jewish faith, that should never be a reason to prohibit his speech on some subsequent occasion on some other subject and about which you could know nothing in advance.

I am specifically asking that for the benefit of our numerous subscribers you provide us an indication of your reasons for your conduct in regard to Prof. Martin, and since you are a public official representative of the great city of London, it is our respectful submission that you should honor us with a reply. In any event we await a speedy rectification of this injustice with the reestablishment of the invitation to Prof. Martin which we anticipate you will be obliged to extend.

I would like to specifically point out that even Eli Weisel once wrote in his book "Legends Of Our Times", "every Jew somewhere in his being should set aside a zone of hate, healthy virile hate, for what exists in the German and for what persists in the German." Please understand this is not to suggest that we either approve of the foregoing quotations, or alternatively that we think they do not express hatred. They do. But who would suggest that the Nobel peace prize winner should not be entitled to speak in England because of those words?

Looking forward to your early reply and explanation, I remain yours respectfully,

Douglas Christie

General Counsel for the Canadian Free Speech League

Silencing of Tony Martin

by Attillah Springer

[ italista@yahoo.co.uk ]

Trinidad Guardian, Sat. Nov. 1, 2003

http://www.guardian.co.tt/Attillah.html

My namesake, Attillah Sha-bazz, first daughter of slain civil rights activist Malcom X, spoke in London last weekend at a conference organised by the office of the Mayor of London.

I would never have known she was coming, if not for the controversy surrounding another speaker, Tony Martin.

Yeah, yeah, I know, it's a big city and all, and even my exceptional macoing skills aren't always up to scratch, but how come somebody like her could come to London and I, a fairly conscious yute, could miss out on such a momentous occasion?

So the story goes, Tony Martin got dis-invited from the First Voice Conference because of his "ties" to right-wing anti-semitic academics. His invitation to speak at this occasion featuring alongside Sis Shabazz, Paul Robeson's grandson and George Padmore's son, is rescinded by Lee Jasper in his capacity as a member of the mayor's advisory cabinet, responsible for advising the mayor on race relations and policing in London.

One's first instinct is to buss a laugh and then feel sorry for poor Lee Jasper to have been given the onerous task by the mayor's office to diss Prof Martin.

Now whether Tony Martin is a card-carrying anti-semite and Lee Jasper a snivelling Uncle Tom I'm not at liberty to say. I not going to put my mouth in that because I don't have court clothes. And to tell the truth, I'm really not interested.

Something else bothers me, aside from the fact that this whole thing reeks of the fella paying the piper calling the tune. I feel cheated. I feel as if too many people who are supposed to be on my side not doing what they have to do.

It's as if everything that you believe, everything that you envision for yourself, can come to nought just because of one man's spinelessness. But I guess if there is one story I have to learn from every revolution, every struggle, is that there always seems to be a Judas.

There's always someone who lets down the side. It was so with Malcolm X. And every voice that called for crucifixion of a man called Christ. The man who declared to Tosh "me come fi kill yu" is the same spineless traitor spirit that firebombed Walter Rodney. It's the same madness that infected the Coardites. Always someone who silences a powerful voice just out of abject fear.

If there is one thing that pisses me off, it's people who keep things to themselves. Like we're all involved in some rahtid all fours tournament and everybody is concerned about keeping information to themselves. As if this is any time to be preaching to the converted.

The complaints abound in England, like in Trinidad, about young black men with special educational needs. About de yutes who have nothing but guns on their minds. But it's no biggie if de yutes that you're so concerned about don't have a clue you're hosting this conference. No biggie that it's in the back of beyond in Wembley Conference Centre, pretty much away from the areas where all the yutes are languishing.

If there's one thing I've learnt from years of being bombarded by vagrant evangelists is that sometimes you have to go where the people are. Sometimes you have to take to the streets and open your mouth. And maybe 90 per cent of the people that pass will think you are nut and 10 per cent will hear you out. You just might plant some mustard seed of knowledge. Pretty much like in Trinidad, the UK Government uses a supposed multicultural agenda to make it look all-inclusive and caring. Uh-huh. This is why last week six police officers were forced to resign after a BBC journalist went undercover and got recordings of recruits saying they would definitely be using their powers to put ethnic minorities in their rightful place.

Anyway, props to the mayor's office. I guess we should say thanks, Massa, for organising something for us. Poor Lee Jasper, being labelled the Uncle Tom when all he did was try to help Massa Ken organise a conference to uplift these same ungrateful black folks. Once you did your part, it absolves you of any responsibility. You can't force the horse to drink, can you?

The e-mails came flooding in from all corners of the Diaspora, condemnations and criticisms and calling down judgments on the Uncle Tom of the day. The reports of Jasper's behaviour on the day, shutting up speakers who tried to intervene on Martin's behalf and the presence of intimidating bodyguards are astonishing.

This has little to do with massa and much to do with our own damn selves now. It's not like we don't have the information or the means. It's so easy when the enemy is a different colour. How to deal with it when the man trying to "chook out" your eye could be your brother?

I wonder if Lee Jasper ever read the Autobiography of Malcom X, especially that part where he speaks about his mother, the Grenada-born staunch follower of the Right Honourable Marcus Mosiah?

I wonder if Lee Jasper ever saw the irony of banning a Garvey scholar from such an occasion?

I didn't go. Damn, I couldn't go, even if to meet this woman whose name I had been given by my father who never ceases to remind me of his own mother, Grenada-born and staunch follower of the Right Honourable Marcus Mosiah.

In a way I guess I'm glad that Tony Martin wasn't there. White elephants like First Voice only serve to remind us that revolutions don't start in conference centres. In fact, a lot times they die there.

Bro. Dave Saunders: Eyewitness to this "utterly shameful incident"

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I attended the Black History Month (BHM) Conference at Wembley Conference Centre on Saturday 27th October 2003. I felt it was important to involve my children in their heritage, so I took along 4 of my siblings. I was not aware that there was any controversy surrounding the Conference. Had I been aware I would not have attended. But this was a good thing because it made me angry enough to write this letter.

My heart is full with sorrow, I am not a crying man but I have been bleeding internally since Saturday. I was amazed that we a people who have been struggling for our existence for over 400 years were oppressed by our own at a time when democracy was being hailed by George bush and Tony Blair as the cause of Britain and America's destruction of Iraq.

The controversy surrounding Dr Anthony Martin from my point of view is both good and bad.

We are well aware of the negative effect of this utterly shameful incident. I remember our struggles in the 1970's, for recognition as black people in Trinidad, and I know in many other parts of the Black World. We were fighting to be allowed to have a voice in determining the development of our country, how difficult we found it dealing with people like Dr. Eric Williams the then Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago.

This incident at the BHM Conference have brought back many painful memories. I must mention some freedom fighters of the struggle CLR James (exiled from Trinidad), Makandal Daaga, Kafra Kambon, Oronko Barka, Michael Joseph (Scobie), just to name a few.

Lee Jasper has demonstrated how much influence Massa still has on some of us. Some of us have not been able to fully remove the shackles and still remain house niggers. Through him we have been denied an audience with one of the greatest historians of our time (living). Jasper will never be forgotten or forgiven. He boasted at the conference that he is the father of nine. I wonder how conscious any of those nine children are and more so how comfortable they now feel with their father. I am not attacking these children, but as a parent of nine also, I am looking at the present and assessing the future and the effect it will have on these poor children's lives.

I think it is important for me to give my account of the events on Saturday 27 October 2003.

I arrived at the conference at 11:45am (approximately). When we got to the Conference Centre there was a woman being evicted by security from the premises. I was slightly disturbed by this as I felt that we should be allowed to have a say no matter how offensive it may be to some of us. Some of us have struggled long and hard some of us with our LIVES, so that Black people could have a voice. For those of us who don't know it, less than 30 years ago we were struggling for recognition as a people with themes such as "Black is Beautiful", "Man Know Thyself", "Black Power" and many more.

During the second stage of the conference several delegates including one Mr. R. Spartacus addresses Lee Jasper as to why Dr. Tony Martin was excluded from the conference. Instead of addressing the issue Jasper's answer was 'We are having such a good time Mr Spartacus why do you want to spoil the evening'. The security were ready to evict Mr Spartacus when a member of the audience intervened. I don't think the security were aware of the seriousness of their actions.

Soon after, the chairman also asked Mr. Spartacus to be silent as he said 'We have just heard some powerful speakers please do not spoil the evening' or words to that effect. I was really shocked by the chairman's remarks, because the only powerful voice is the voice of the people. DuBois was not a powerful speaker because he was constantly referring to Black People as coloured people. I am not coloured. Are you? And Nkrumah's son is his son not Nkrumah himself. The spirit of Nkrumah does not live on in his son but in all Black People conscious or not. Do you think Malcolm X would have sat on that table with the others if he knew why people were protesting?

The climax of the evening for me was when Jasper was leaving the Conference Hall. He was surrounded by at least six bodyguards ALL BLACK. How ironic. If we do not feel safe amongst our own people then how can we truly represent them in public life.

Secondly, I see this controversy as a positive.

1. It woke me up and I am sure some dedicated soldiers of the cause, and I know that Lee Jasper and his band, be they Jews or whatever are no match for us. We have been struggling not with our strength but with the spirit of our forefathers for so long that we do not know how to give up or retire. Lee Jasper you have wounded the tiger. The War is On. Don't look for us coming at you with blazing guns or heated arguments. We shall be in your dreams, when you eat, when you sleep, you shall find no peace from us. My advice to you at this stage is to find a quiet corner and hide.

2. The other positive aspect of this controversy is simply this-- We are going to take the horse by the reigns. We are going to make positive steps in controlling our own destiny. Now is the time for us to decide whether we are followers or leaders. Are we going to lay waste the struggles of our forefathers. They have led from the age of civilization to date. We are going to host our own conference in October 2004 with our own money, We will invite who we want and structure our conference as a Black History conference should be structured and conducted. We will invite whoever we want to speak at our conference. We would have dialogue and not speeches (Up/down communication) by whoever the conference sponsors feel we should hear.

Although Ms Shabaz, Dr DuBois and the others were well-received, we also have very distinguished Black Britains here who could influence our youths. Our theme for the 2004 conference should be Our future existence -- The way forward ( Our Youths).

I want us to work tirelessly to acquire the necessary funds to build our own centre, where we can have ongoing conferences and debates relevant to the issues we are faced with today as a black race -- crime, violence, gun crimes, prison populations, education, employment, business, family, women, Africa, America and the West Indies. We need this centre for our continuous development and existence in the West. The struggle is not finished but merely begun as those who see us as a constant threat to their world domination are using whatever means at their disposal to crush us.

Do not believe that for one moment what happened to Iraq and Afghanistan cannot happen to Africa. Remember Grenada, remember the IMF, Remember The European Union, Remember that you are Black, Remember the slave trade.

Some members of the audience at the conference suggested that we forget about the past, the slave trade, slavery and concentrate on the present, wow what lost souls. What was shocking was that one of these people was a young black girl. As a people We would never know where we are going to unless we know where we came from. We, especially our youths have to know our history in order for us to know who we are, how much we have contributed to the World civilization.

Anyone studying Law, or Politics in England, whether you are from Africa or the West Indies have to know about the British history Are we so naive that we don't want to know who we are but want to take the identity of someone else. Every other nation knows the greatness of the African man in the development of civilization. We are not hated but feared. Why don't we want to know how many of our forefathers were killed in the passage from Africa to Europe? The Jews had six million killed in the holocaust. How many of us were killed in slavery?

This is a call for all Africans and everyone of African descent to come together to make Black History Month 2004 Black History Year 2004 and onwards. Anyone interested in making this change and strong enough to want to take their destiny and the future of their children into their own hands can contact me via the following below.

The struggle continues

London Mayor Bans Martin from Black History Talks

(Trinidad Express, Oct. 29, 2003, p. 16)

By TERRY JOSEPH

OUTRAGE among Britons of African descent, ignited by London Mayor Ken Livingstone's "dis-invitation" of Professor Tony Martin to speak at last Saturday's First Voice "Dialogue with the Diaspora, has exploded into an international furore.

A highly acclaimed Marcus Garvey scholar who has delivered many lectures here, Prof Martin was invited since May to speak at the October 25 forum, London's contribution to annual British observance of Black History Month, arranged and funded by the Mayor's office. On October 15, Lee Jasper, Livingstone's advisor on race relations, wrote Martin "dis-inviting" him to the conference. Even as he acknowledged Martin's intellectual integrity, Jasper wrote: "Having confirmed with you that you attended and spoke at David Irving's "Real History Conference' in 2001 and the Institute for Historical Review's annual conference in 2002 and that both of these conferences included speakers known for their anti Semitic and racist activities including Holocaust denial, the Mayor's Office has decided to withdraw its invitation to you to address the First Voice conference on Saturday 25 October."

In a front-page article of its October 17 issue, under the headline "Livingstone bars 'antiJewish' historian from conference", The Jewish Chronicle quoted correspondence between Louise Ellman (Labour MP for Liverpool Riverside and vice-chair of the Inter-Parliamentary Council against Anti-Semitism and Jasper, saying the exchange constituted the basis for the Mayor's "prompt and appropriate action" and noted Ellman's "delight at the mayor's quick move."

Blacks in London immediately set up an e-mail petition aimed at persuading other invitees to decline in solidarity, a protest that enjoyed massive support on home turf and quickly spread to the international community; attracting a flood of responses. Trinidad and Tobago's Emancipation Support Committee (ESC), who have hosted Prof Martin at conferences here, has added its voice.

In a scathing letter signed by chairman Khafra Kambon, the organisation waded into Jasper, expressing "abhorrence" at the last minute withdrawal of Prof Martin's invitation to speak at the forum. "The reasons presented by you for the withdrawal are irrational, offensive and worst of all, self-demeaning," the ESC letter said. "If your primary motivation is an acute sensitivity to anti-Semitism, how does that eliminate Dr. Martin? "Intellectually he is a known quantity. There is profuse, publicly available material by which his views can be judged. We suggest you take another look at the dangerous principle which you are seeking to enshrine by your actions. Your letter did not suggest that Dr Martin took part in meetings or rallies which were designed to incite hatred against Jews.

"The implication of your letter is that our intellectuals and academics should exercise a brutal self-censorship and ensure that they do not unknowingly or by design appear on platforms with persons who are targeted by Jews as anti-semitic, a designation readily bestowed by hypersensitive Jews. "What irony, in Black Heritage Month," the letter concluded, demanding betimes an apology to Prof Martin, the African community in London and the entire PanAfrican world and suggesting Jasper relinquish his position as (Policy Director, Equalities and Policing) at the Mayor's Office.

In his response to Jasper, dated October 15, Prof Martin said (inter alia): "I thought that you were just another overwrought Jew who sees "antisemites" everywhere, an annoying though partly explicable phenomenon. Now, however, I discover that you are that most singular of phenomena, to wit a black talking head for Jewish ventriloquism.

"I addressed the first abovementioned conference on the Jewish role in the African slave trade, a topic that overwrought Jews consider ipso facto antisemitic. I addressed the other on the tactics of organized Jewry against persons like myself who they disagree with," he wrote. Prof Martin added that if he was seen as anti-semitic for addressing conferences so perceived, then "this kind of reasoning would also make me a talking head for overwrought Jews for my willingness to speak at your conference," saying too, "1 hope that someday you will become as diligent in the knowledge of your own history as you now appear to be in mindlessly parroting the misconceptions of others."

Other speakers invited were Ms Shabazz (eldest daughter of Malcolm X); Dr Gamal Nkrumah (son of Kwame Nkrumah), Dr Julius Garvey (son of Marcus Garvey), Paul Robeson Jnr (son of Paul Robeson). All earlier references to Councillor Stephen Padmore, first described as the son of George Padmore, were later removed after authoritative sources questioned his bona fides.

It is not the first time London has banned a black speaker, Louis Farrakhan having suffered the same fate in 1986.

What was too hot for Henry Baaad Bonsu?

His theme music sets the tone. The unmistakeable opening bars of "The Theme From Shaft". He is baaad. He is supercool. He is the Oxbridge graduate who wants everyone listening to know that he is "still single". According to his appearance on a late night BBC Radio Five discussion a few months ago, he "gets really horny" when he's 20,000 feet up in the air. He has forsaken his home town of Manchester for Brixton, "the spiritual home of Black Britain". He's at every awards ceremony going. He's baaad. He's hot !!!

So what was too hot for Henry Baaad Bonsu to handle on his recent BBC Radio London discussion programmes?

The exclusion of renowned African historian Professor Tony Martin from the First Voices conference held in London on 25 October 2003.

Henry Baaad Bonsu knew of the exclusion of Professor Tony Martin at least 2 days in advance of his programme on Sunday 19 October 2003. Yet, no mention of this dynamite story in his 3 hour programme then.

By the time of his programme on 26 October 2003, the outrageous deed had been completed, an entire community left ashamed and a group of public servants left as the laughing stock of the African Diaspora for banning the world's leading authority on Marcus Garvey from a conference in celebration of Black History Month, having previously invited him to speak.

What of Henry Baaad Bonsu?

The conference was mentioned on at least half a dozen separate occasions on his 3 hour programme on 26 October 2003. So anxious to inform his listeners of the proceedings was Henry Baaad Bonsu that we were even told that Lee Jasper had renamed the month "African Heritage Month". But what of Professor Martin, his invitation to address London's African community withdrawn in near libellous circumstances? What of those protesting against this disgrace outside the Wembley Conference Centre? What of those inside who sought to raise the issue on the Conference floor? What of those manhandled by hired heavies as they sought to raise the concerns of hundreds of disgusted Africans?

Not a single word.

Right on Henry Baaad Bonsu. You're a baaad Mutha - shut your mouth.

Who is the man that would risk his neck

For his brother man?

SHAFT!

Can you dig it?

Who's the cat that won't cop out

When there's danger all about?

SHAFT!

Right On!

They say this cat Shaft is a bad mother

SHUT YOUR MOUTH!

I'm talkin' 'bout Shaft.

THEN WE CAN DIG IT!

Don't depend on Henry Baaad Bonsu for your news - read it for yourselves right here.

Parallels in the Garvey Movement to the Jasper Actions

On 10/27 ten negro organizations in the UK jointly issued a 1-page "defense" of the Mayor's dutiful house boy, Lee Jasper, and his actions against Prof Tony Martin and ALL free-thinking Black men, women and children. The parallels of these cowardly actions can be found in the not too distant past, brought to us in the powerful works of Professor Tony Martin himself. In his writings on the Honorable Marcus Garvey, Prof. Martin reveals the sordid history of this kind of uncle tom treachery. The parallels to our current controversy are intriguing; Garvey was "accused" of meeting with white "hate groups" as is Prof. Martin; Garvey was attacked by an organization run by and funded almost entirely by Jews, as is Martin so attacked; The Jews (through their Uncle Toms) appealed to the government to persecute Garvey, as they are now doing to Prof. Martin; Garvey was attacked by a Du Bois, as is Prof. Martin now attacked by the man's own son, who claims that Martin "insulted" his father. Dr. Martin's research is the basis of the following excerpt from The American Directory of Certified Uncle Toms, pp 416-17, which shows that DuBois and those like him ought to have more to worry about than just insults (references below):

The NAACP, under the direction of Du Bois and Spingarn [a white Jew], initiated a campaign they called "Marcus Garvey Must Go" and actually held public meetings designed to stir up anti-Garvey sentiment among Black people. In May of 1924, the Crisis printed Du Bois' opinion that "Marcus Garvey is, without doubt, the most dangerous enemy of the Negro race in America and in the world," and referred to Garvey as a "little, fat, black man; ugly, but with intelligent eyes and a big head."

Du Bois led eight negro members of the NAACP in sending a letter to the U.S. Attorney General, asking that he "use his full influence completely to disband and extirpate this vicious movement" and that he "vigorously and speedily push the government's case against Marcus Garvey..." Garvey accurately called the letter "the greatest bit of treachery and wickedness that any group of Negroes could be capable of." Du Bois' criticism is all the more detestable because while Garvey was exhorting Blacks to build a nation--"Up you mighty race!"--Du Bois' white NAACP boss, Oswald Garrison Villard, was telling negro businessmen that "I cannot think of anything that would more quickly raise the Negro race in the white man's opinion than honest and efficient domestic service."

Ultimately, Garvey was jailed and deported--to the delight of Du Bois' gaggle of negro traitors. Less than a decade later, Du Bois echoed a very Garveyite philosophy: "There are still large numbers of American Negroes who in all essential particulars conceive themselves as belonging to the white race." Such negroes, he said, were ever ready "to flock to white America before they would flock to the brown West Indies or to black Africa or yellow Asia." Blacks, he now thought without a trace of irony or repentance, "should begin to concentrate upon this problem of their economic survival." He even suggested that a self-determined segregation may not be so bad after all.

Purely and simply, as Garvey so aptly put it in his time, Du Bois and his intellectual children are the white man's niggers.

Pace, Robert S. Abbott, John E. Nail, Dr. Julia P. Coleman, William Pickens, Chandler Owen, Robert W. Bagnall, and George W. Spartacus R. Responds to the Negro Proclamation of 10/27

Greetings Brothers and Sisters,

My immediate response to the "Statement regarding Dr. Tony Martin" was to not give it any validity, but I soon realised that it is such a brilliant piece of rhetorical doublespeak, I had to address some of it for the sake of those among us who may not be aware of the background to the this whole problem.

Of the 10 organisations whose names appear on the document Mr. Lethal Jasper is directly involved as chair, president, spokes person, secretary, etc., of 6 and is indirectly involved via shared executive membership with the other 4. He is also a member of the Black Jewish Forum, a Jewish-run "think" tank.

The very first sentence is a clear attempt to mislead the reader by suggesting that the deluge of criticism directed at Lethal Jasper's decision to exclude Dr. Tony Martin from the Black History Month, First Voice conference were "inaccurate" and "from a small number of people".

They talk about "concerns were raised" but no "concerns" were raised by any African person or group about Dr. Tony Martin's platform sharing record. So why do they avoid saying that it was some Jews who raised the "concerns"?

They say: "There is no suggestion that Dr Martin holds the views of those he has associated with." suggesting that Dr. Martin "associated" with these people. Does that mean that had Tony Martin, David DuBois and Paul Robeson, Jr. shared the First Voice platform they would be "associates"?

The issue is not about supporting or not supporting Dr. Tony Martin. This is about the principle of African self-determination.

Since the platform was created with African tax payers' money, ostensibly to celebrate and promote African history, it makes no sense to leave out the foremost authority on Marcus Garvey, the greatest leader of our time and instead glorify those who would bow to Jewish slave masters or those who are afraid to speak the truth.

When the Conference audience prevented me from being beaten by the 20 or so security thugs who were told to silence me, their decisive mass response did not feel like "single figures" to me.

And they are right to say: "A political agenda based on hatred and fear [of the truth] ultimately leads to isolationism and failure." The very example you used, the ANC, where European Jewish domination causes an "African" government to forgive atrocities and reward its people's enemies while keeping its freedom fighters locked up as common criminals can only end in failure when the people wake up.

They ask: "Why attack people who are helping the struggle?" Yes, why attack Professor Tony Martin for exposing Jewish involvement in the enslavement of African people; why attack me and others for exposing their involvement in his exclusion and why attack the Sister Azania, who was thrown out of the Conference for distributing information about the http://www.blacksandjews.com website?

This issue is not about Tony Martin. It is not about Louis Farrakhan before him. It is about the right of a people, African people, to self-determination and within that the inalienable right to decide who we listen to or not listen to, regardless what the Jews or any other people think of them.

May the Ancestor guide and protect you all on our way.

Love and life

Statement by Kamau K. Kujichagulia of Nubiannews.com

To those it may concern;

It is hard to believe any organized effort to combat racism and white supremacy would dis-associate itself from Dr. Tony Martin. Sharing a platform is not the same as sharing a viewpoint. Sharing the platform is often the only way to get to the crux of the matter of racism/white dominance.

It's a sad day when one of our esteemed leaders in the struggle is denied a spotlight at a Black celebratory conference.

Carol Taylor of The Institute For "Interracial" Harmony Responds

Yo, Bobby!

"...race" equality...?" Whassat? Do you mean 'color' equality? Tch tch - such euphemism!

Anyhow, lemme try to answer your plaintive missive:

The unfortunate Jasper decision to censor the good Dr. Martin was based on a really weak premise, sorta like book censorship or even worse, book-burning.

The decision to appear or not to appear was surely the Speaker's. To have had Dr. Martin on the same platform as "racists or fascists" must have been a spectacular opportunity - for onlookers and listeners - to learn how to deal with such sickoes. How dare Jasper (and all of those organizations you've listed)overlook this necessary aspect of free speech intercourse?

Furthermore, how mean-spirited and arrogant is that statement about "...anyone who supports Dr. Martin is free to give him another platform..."!

"...Ms Shabazz and Paul Robeson Jr...." is grossly beside the point and shouldn't even be mentioned, in my opinion, at the same time or in the same framework, as Dr. Martin.

The comparison between numbers of supporters is irrelevant to the issue of censorship and one cannot escape accountability by counting numbers. And the London Black History Month 2003 Conference couldn't've been a resounding "success" since, unfortunately, it was compromised from the get-go by that arrant bit of censorship! (Compromised sorta like The 'Africans and African Descendants' World Conference Against Racism, Barbados, W.I. travesty when the white Africans were chased out by the British {and organizers} contingents because they weren't taught that all humans are African! Did y'all see my Report on that Barbados Conference on our racismtest.com Site?)

As far as my Lee Jasper condemnation for censorship - it was his decision, I assume, to censor. It was not his background - with which I was unacquainted, which came under fire. He wasn't attacked by me - his mistaken decision to censor was attacked, (apparently not only by me) and rightfully so - unless y'all believe in book-burning and no free speech!

And why all the whining about "hate?" Has it become "hate" to evaluate/assess the actions of people who purport to be anti-racist/colorist leaders?

In a few days, y'all will be able to take the racismtest.com and get your Scores and Analyses for a fee.

Then y'all and Jasper and all of those organizations which agreed with his censorship, - according to you, Bobby- will be able to see how racist/colorist y'all really are.

It's O.K. - Don't pop a gasket - we're all racist/colorist to some degree - we've all been conditioned by racist/colorist, brainwhitewashing, institutionally colorist, colonial and neo-colonial societies.

The problem comes when we neglect to change. An excellent start, after y'all get your Analyses, would be to read I.M. Nur's new 're-evolutionary' book - "THE MEANING OF BLACKNESS" - enquiries contact@anu-world.com POW!

Our Sister Reports on the Fateful Events of 10/25

Greetings Professor Tony Martin

Following on from the guidance of the Global Afrikan Community in uniting in support of yourself, against Ken Livingstone (KL) so-called mayor of London, and Lee Uncle Tom Jasper (TJ), KL slave, this short community of solidarity for your unrelenting work for the education and advancement of the Afrikan community I hope you receive knowing that for us who are serious about achieving out-right success in crushing the enemies of Afrikan liberation and redemption fully support your reasoning in response to LJ unprofessional and anti-Afrikan correspondence to you regarding the so-called Black History Month 25.10.03 conference at Wembley.

I myself decided to attend the 25.10.03 conference, though with every intention to protest against the organisers for their hostile and anti-Afrikan attitude towards yourself. Because I gave to delegates the website information so that they could read for themselves about the bad attitude of KL and TJ, was banned at 1PM.

Part 2

First of all, THANKS SO MUCH, for being a great strong Afrikan Man in the defence of Afrikan people, I salute and respect your ongoing commitment to the Afrikan community.

I shall make sure that this email gives an informative account of the anti-Afrikan behaviour I witnessed because I went to the BHM con to protest against KL and LTJ - my earlier email today was only half-written up at the local Tottenham, North London library, named after our Hero the most Honourable Marcus Garvey, due to limited time available on the computer and also because I informed another Afrikan who did not attend the BHM 25.10.03 con and did not know about the ill-treatment from Ken Livingstone (KL) and Lee Tom Jasper (LTJ)!, she said that she would check the website concerning this matter for herself as well as inform other people.

My support for your right to inform the Afrikan community and other non-Afrikan communities, about your historical research, literature, publications and teaching that given a positive Afrikan identify and explanation of our ancestors persecution and enslavement by non-Afrikans, as well as contemporary literature again explaining the circumstances of Afrikan people around the globe, meant that the anti-Afrikan behaviour of KL and LTJ was made all the more obvious when they at about 1 pm - I arrived at the con at about 10 am - when David Weaver on behalf of KL and LTJ, said that I was banned from the afternoon session of the con, because I had already apparently disrupted the con by talking to delegates to find out if they knew about the anti-Afrikan attitude of KL and LTJ towards yourself, and given delegates the website information so they could read for themselves your communication to LTJ, after LTJ unprofessional and anti-Afrikan correspondence to yourself.

So from around 1 pm - 6.30 pm, I stayed outside of the Wembley con building, the con ended at 6.30 pm. I was joined at about 2 pm by another Afrikan Sista (delegates inside the con were not aware of what little drama that was happening between KL lackeys, bouncers, against myself and they tried unsuccessfully, to bully me - I was not deter at all, in fact I was all the more determined to inform as many people as possible about this matter) who assisted me by informing the delegates going to and from the building, that did not know about the 'anti-semetic controversy' regarding yourself, KL and LTJ. It was obvious to both of us that about half the number of people who we talked to, did not know the sinister motives behind the KL and LJ conspiracy to try and disrespect you by attacking your sterling work you have written and published in support and defence of Afrikan people.

As I have already been blessed to hear you talk in person to us, in the Afrikan Diaspora community in London, May '97, I still however, look forward to you again reaching London, so as to explain and assist in the education of our people about their individual and collective responsibility, together with your example of educational leadership and historical research for the overall liberation of Afrikan people.

The Afrikan community shall despite the evil behaviour of the liberal caucasian establishment, with KL acting as one of its main spokesperson trying to fool Afrikan people into thinking that he is a friend of ours, and using LTJ, as a token black to further the liberal establishment agenda of multi-culturalism, that simply only means Afrikan people must follow a political agenda, that refuses to accept that independent Afrikan thought exists, hence KL and LTJ trying to deny the Afrikan community in England from hearing you speak.

In 'The Voice' not one of the most educational of Black newspapers, has interestingly as far this matter is concerned in today's issue 27.10.03, printed an article showing LTJ, and questioning whether he is now able to remain as 'Race Advisor' to KL, and also suggests he should resigned, after making such a major mistake in not allowing you to join the rest of the speakers at the 25.10.03 con.

I think KL and LTJ should both apologize to you for their poor behaviour, and if LTJ does not he should resign, otherwise he will just reinforce the view that many in the Afrikan community have already said of him in the past, that being he does not have the know how, expertise, education or Spiritual elements to assert that he is representative for the majority of Afrikan people and our interests.

I am your Sista.

JAH GUIDE.

The 10/25 Conference: Bro. Spartacus' Eyewitness Report

Greetings Brother Tony Martin,

Today we achieved something far beyond anything we expected from our protest at your exclusion from the conference. Jasper and his gang tried to silence me with threats and intimidation, taking away my DV camera and having me followed and harassed at all times throughout the venue by at least two or three bouncers.

In seminars the House Negroes did exactly what was expected of them, but we succeeded in informing some of those who did not know of a few of the issues raised by your exclusion. Gamal Nkrumah and David DuBois deftly avoided answering questions as to their attitude to outsiders dictating that we as African people shouldn't listen to you. Dubois said that you insulted his father and Nkrumah said he had never met you. I personally can't see how those issues are relevant to the principled question of our self-determination.

I understand that Brother Asa Hilliard boycotted the conference in solidarity with our protest, but none of the speakers who appeared on the platform, as far as I know, made any reference to your exclusion. I was also threatened with not only expulsion but also with serious battering if I brought up the question of your exclusion. I nevertheless managed to raise the question in the view of the whole conference and Lethal Jasper truncated the conference and ran off the platform, closely followed by Paul Robeson Jr, Gamal Nkrumah, David Dubois and the Shabbaz girl.

I continued to speak with the audience without microphone and security tried to throw me out but the audience advanced on them and they retreated just like their cowardly masters. Others joined me in informing the rest of the audience and we managed to reach at least 75% of the people who were present at the conference, even taking the debate outside the auditorium.

I believe that Mr. Lethal Jasper and his Jewish handlers have inadvertently made you more well known and more in demand than you could have been if you had been allowed to come and speak as one of many without controversy. I look forward to hearing and seeing you on this side of the river in the very near future.

May the Ancestors continue to guide and protect you on our way. Your Brother in the war,

Spartacus R.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

I must say hurrah for Spartacus and others like him who ensured that attendees at the conference got the message. All power to brothers like Kimani Nehusi and Asa Hilliard who were principled enough to boycott. I hope at some stage we get a complete report on those who knowingly attended and those who boycotted to show their disapproval.

Shame on those who inherited iconic names but have fallen short on character, integrity and ideology.

Black Scholar Kimani Nehusi Withdraws From anti-Black "Black History" Conference

Rosemary Emodi , Business Manager

Mayor's Office, London SE1 2AA

[Phone: +44 (0) 20 7983 6557; Facsimile: +44 (0) 20 7983 4008; E-Mail: rosemary.emodi@london.gov.uk; Web: www.london.gov.uk]

Dear Rosemary,

Thanks for the invitation to chair a session at the upcoming First Voice Conference organised by the Mayor's Office. In normal circumstances I would have been pleased to accept such an invitation. However, in view of the withdrawal of the invitation extended to Prof. Anthony Martin to address this conference, I shall not attend, for I do not wish by any means to convey the impression that I associate myself with such a decision.

Professor Martin is very well known to me. So is his work, which is known to a vast number of people of all descriptions across the world. Professor Martin is a very rigorous scholar, brilliant, hard working and always in search of the truth - whatsoever that truth may be. He has deservedly earned respect as, among other things, the foremost scholar on the Honourable Marcus Garvey, universally recognised as the foremost fighter for Afrikan redemption. Professor Martin is an outstanding academic not merely because of his considerable publications, but also because he has shared his knowledge with large numbers of people in high and low places in many parts of the world. He has used his profession as a vocation for advancing the cause of the Afrikan people, and therefore of justice in this world. As one who practises in the academy, I am deeply troubled that such an outstanding academic, a real role model, can be treated with the disrespect occasioned by this 'disinvitation'. This is a blow against academic freedom and by extension the very democracy the Mayor's Office claims to be bringing to the people of London.

The circumstances of this development are deeply troubling. Professor Martin, an outstanding Afrikan, has been debarred from addressing this conference about Afrikan people because one group of non-Afrikans say that they are upset because he addressed two conferences organised by and or addressed by persons with whom they disagree. This is guilt by association. As someone who is conscious of the many times Afrikan people have been 'found guilty' because they associated with others 'not approved' by oppressive forces, I am greatly horrified that the Mayor's Office would place itself on the very same side of those who have historically oppressed Afrikan people - and employ some of their well known tactics.

This development does nothing to further the aims of the Afrikan (Black) History Month, of which this conference purports to be a part. It does not serve the interests of Afrikan self determination. It undermines any notion of democracy, fair play, academic freedom or decency. It places the Mayor's Office in a camp opposite to those who support these worthwhile ideals. It tells tax paying Afrikans in London and by extension Afrikans and supporters of Afrikan struggles all over the world, that our views do not matter to the Mayor's Office. It tells us that Afrikans functioning within the Mayor's Office are either ineffective in representing the interests of the majority of Afrikans, or that they do not know or care about these interests, or that they are unjustly subordinated to other interests. In any event this development threatens to place the Mayor's Office and those within in a very clear light. Many Afrikans have for long been justly suspicious of anything emanating from within the establishment. This performance justifies that posture.

I disassociate myself from the conference as an act of protest against this decision. I hope that the Mayor's Office will find it necessary, and therefore possible, to apologise not only to Prof. Martin, but to to all Afrikans for this insulting decision. Undoubtably some Afrikans will attend this conference, and for many reasons. Others will stay away, for many reasons also. This issue will however always tell Afrikans much about the dangers of placing too much trust in the establishment - and about the importance of self organisation as the only true basis of self representation, which is the truest form of representation and the only road to Afrikan redemption.

Yours most Sincerely,

Kimani Nehusi.

Important Question for Black Londoners

Elder Lester wrote "But why is a White London Mayor getting involved in organising events for Black History Month in Britain." Important question. This same Ken Livingstone supported the racist who was responsible for an African, Sam Yeboah, being removed as personnel officer in the London Borough of Hackney. Lee Jasper came into prominence when he assisted Ken Livingstone to destroy the Anti Racist Alliance. Anti Racist Alliance was winning the position that anti-racist struggle should be led byvictims of racism (black people) but Ken Livingstone used Lee Jasper to kill that organisation. Now he is using him to prevent Africans speaking about our history. The only solution is for us to organise our own thing and not suck up to this racist Ken begging opportunistically for co-option into global racist structures.

THE ATTACK ON TONY MARTIN BY LEE JASPER, KEN LIVINGSTONE AND THE BRITISH JEWS: A PAN AFRICAN RESPONSE

Quote:" Capitalism, the enemy, has us reacting to stimuli so that in the process of reacting, we think we are thinking."

(Kwame Ture, International Black Solidarity Rally, Friends House, Euston, London, 29 September 1983).

The Pan African Movement in Britain must seize the initiative to organise a massive response to the attack on Tony Martin by Zionists, Jews, London Mayor Ken Livingstone and Jewish agent Lee Jasper.

One does not know what the response would be to the call for invited speakers to stay away unless the invitation to Tony Martin is restored. Indeed, there seems to be some confusion about who the invited speakers are. A half page advertisement in The Voice (costing £2404.40), lists some of these invited speakers as Ms. Shabaaz, eldest daughter of Malcolm X; Dr. Gamal Nkrumah, eldest son of Kwame Nkrumah; Cllr. Stephen Padmore, son of George Padmore; Dr. Tony Martin, Professor of African Studies, Wellesley College and S. I. Martin, historian.

Apart from Gamal Nkrumah, one does not know which of the other invited speakers have been contacted and what their response has been, if any. What is certain is that the neo-colonials are supporting this conference and will be attending to hear Ken Livingstone and Lee Jasper cynically posing as champions of Black History while pursuing a Jewish agenda.

Whatever the outcome of this cynical piece of deception, a united Pan African response is needed. I suggest that a special event be organised so that Tony Martin, the world's foremost scholar on the Honourable Marcus Garvey can address the black Community in Britain on Zionism, Jews and the War Against the Africans. Such an event can be organised for Easter 2004. This gives enough time to hire a large venue, mobilize the resources necessary and to promote such an event, which can take the form of an African Peoples Assembly. This attack on Tony Martin is an attack on Marcus Garvey, Garveyism and Pan Africanism.

Remember, Easter is the time of a special event taking place in the heavens, which has been hijacked by the Jews. This is when he sun sits on the crossing of the celestial and terrestrial equators and is said to be crucified. This is the origin of he Jewish "Passover" festival.

Note must be taken of Councillor Stephen Padmore, billed as the son of George Padmore. I have checked with authoritative sources including the George Padmore Institute run by John La rose and with Blyden Cowart, the daughter of George Padmore. This is the first time that we are being told that George Padmore had a son. But is he an impostor?

Blyden Cowart came to London for the Centenary Pan African Conference held in July 2000. Stephen Padmore was not known then. In June last year, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of George Padmore. He was not known then either. Blyden Cowart and Tony Martin attended a conference at the University of the West Indies at St. Augustine in Trinidad from 2-4 October this year. The theme of the conference was "The Life and Times of George Padmore: Black Radicalism in the 20th Century." No one at that Conference knew of Stephen Padmore. So how come he has suddenly materialised to take part in an event which has now been shown is meant to distort the African story?

Trinidad and Tobago Blacks express "ABHORRENCE"

To: Mr Lee Jasper

The Emancipation Support Committee of Trinidad and Tobago wishes to express its abhorrence at your last minute withdrawal of an invitation to Dr. Tony Martin to speak at the First Voice Conference, scheduled for London on October 25, organized by the Mayor's office.

The reasons presented by you for the withdrawal are irrational, offensive and worst of all, self-demeaning. If your primary motivation is an acute sensitivity to anti-Semitism, how does that eliminate Dr. Martin? Dr. Tony Martin is widely acknowledged as the foremost scholar on Marcus Garvey, one of the towering figures of the twentieth century. He has written several books, delivered countless public lectures, appeared on many television and radio programs, his thoughts have appeared in newspaper reports and interviews. Intellectually he is a known quantity. There is profuse, publicly available material by which his views can be judged. Against this background, how do you cancel his invitation on the basis that he had attended and spoken at two named conferences (in 2001 and 2002), which included speakers who you say are "known for their anti-Semitic and racist activities".

Did you ask how many times he appeared on platforms with white racists? Or self-hating blacks? We suggest you take another look at the dangerous principle which you are seeking to enshrine by your actions. Your letter did not suggest that Dr. Martin took part in meetings or rallies which were designed to incite hatred against Jews. The implication of your letter is that our intellectuals and academics should exercise a brutal self-censorship and ensure that they do not unknowingly or by design appear on platforms with persons who are targeted by Jews as anti-semitic, a designation readily bestowed by hypersensitive ("overwrought" according to Dr. Martin) Jews.

Indeed Dr Martin himself has been a direct target of zealous Jewish organizations simply for putting on his recommended reading list at Wellesley College a book that documents the role of Jews in the slave trade. This was the basis for a prolonged and venomous attack on Dr Martin by "overwrought Jews". After years they continue to pursue their relentless campaign, seeking to brand him and isolate him in their overfilled, anti-semitic, intellectual Guantanamo. Maybe even you were embarrassed to quote this silly basis as justification for your own action and therefore you hid behind the conferences where the charge against Dr. Martin was guilty by association, much more convenient than a real assessment of his work and ideas.

You yourself recognize in your letter the tremendous contribution which Dr Martin could have made to your conference based on his substantive work and yet you slavishly denied the very audience to whom he dedicated his knowledge and energy, the opportunity to hear and interact with him. I am sure by now you know that you have destroyed your conference to please individuals who care nothing for the future of our people in a world where we are being decimated by aids, poverty, powerlessness, discrimination, oppression, exploitation and most damaging of all, ignorance of self. What irony, in Black Heritage Month!!

It is too late to ask you to withdraw your dis-invitation to Dr. Tony Martin. But it is not too late for you to apologize to Dr. Martin, the African community in London and the entire Pan-African world. And it is not too late to withdraw yourself from an official position (Policy Director, Equalities and Policing, Mayor's Office) where you may be lured again into acting so clearly against the interests of your own people. You owe such dignified action to yourself and to us, Africans all around the world.

We look forward to the day of your redemption.

London Taxpayer Outraged at "shameful insult"

As a London council tax payer, I am writing to ask you to immediately reinstate the distinguished US-based academic, Professor Tony Martin, to the list of speakers due to address the First Voice Conference due to be held on Saturday 25 October 2003.

The withdrawal of Professor Martin's longstanding invitation is nothing short of a totally unacceptable and shameful insult to one of the world's foremost African historians, and a man who has previously addressed London's African communities on the life and work of Marcus Garvey.

Please will you give an undertaking that Professor Martin will be reinstated without delay and that your staff will issue a prominent and public apology to him. I also believe that those responsible for the withdrawal of Professor Martin's invitation should be asked to seriously consider their position(s) within London's government.

If, at this relatively late stage, it is not physically possible for Professor Martin to attend and speak at the Conference, I suggest that arrangements are immediately made for Professor Martin to participate by video link.

Unless Professor Martin is immediately reinstated, I believe that those responsible for this appalling blunder, and by implication, those to whom they report, run the risk of becoming the laughing stock of the entire African world. In view of the time scale now involved, may I have a reply as a matter of urgency.

Response to the "puppet" Lee Jasper from the Truth Establishment Institute

Dear Mr. Jasper,

May this letter reach you in the best of health and spirit.

As you well know, one seeking an authority on the life and mission of the Honorable Marcus Garvey and other aspects of history relevant to your Black History Month programming could not find another individual more immersed in the subject, nor more qualified to discuss them than Africana Professor Tony Martin.

Professor Tony Martin has the right to speak at any program or conference that he chooses. As a historian, Professor Martin is sought after because of his unparalleled expertise in many areas of history. As the result of a very organized smear campaign using disinformation as one of its primary weapons, Professor Martin has been branded an anti-Semite because of his well-documented position on the role of Jews in the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade of Africans as well as his endorsement of the definitive work on that topic The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews.

By your unceremonious disinvitation of Professor Martin, whether you realize it or not, you show that you are uninterested in presenting historical perspectives that are considered outside of the view of those who apparently give you orders. This makes you nothing more than a puppet.

In your position as an advisor to the mayor on race relations, those whom you represent (Black people in the UK) as well as those whom you claim to serve in that capacity (White people in the UK) would be more effectively served if Professor Martin were allowed to speak. Instead, in our view, you are complicit in keeping the masses of the people in a state of informational darkness and ignorance.

In his appearances at the conferences you mentioned (David Irving 2001, IHR 2002) Professor Martin dealt with the role of Jews in the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade. His commentary did not include any discussion regarding what you term "holocaust denial."

It is with great irony that you label Professor Martin's talks at those conferences as the "appearance of a close association between yourself and extreme right wing academics and organizations" while you and your organization as the supposedly "liberal" representatives are engaging in censorship and denying Professor Martin the right to speak because you disagree with his views.

Those two conferences are listed and presented as indisputable evidence without considering the hundreds of lectures and thousands of individuals that have heard and benefited from Professor Martin,s knowledge and desire to spread truth.

Your parroting of the rhetoric and terminology of those who have an interest in keeping secret certain unflattering aspects of history verifies that Professor Martin and others who have been unfairly branded and censored such as the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan (who incidentally has been banned from the UK since the mid 80's) and Professor Leonard Jeffries truly represent positions that need to be heard.

In conclusion, speaking to a group does not constitute endorsement of the totality of their ideologies or viewpoints.

If you and your handlers are unable to see or unwilling to acknowledge that a historian of Professor Martin's scholarly stature would be sought after by groups of varying viewpoints and ideologies "some controversial" then you are actually the ones involved in behavior that most rational people capable of logical thought should be concerned with.

Integrity is more important than position.

Sincerely,

Response to Jasper from GlobalAfrica.com

Mr. Lee Jasper,

In an email addressed to Professor Tony Martin you state that because he spoke at 2 conferences in 2001 and 2002 which "included speakers known for their anti-Semitic and racist activities including Holocaust denial, the Mayor's Office has decided to withdraw its invitation" for him to speak at the Black History Month, First Voice Conference on Saturday 25th October.

This is diabolical!

1) Are you saying that any African person who accepts an invitation to speak on any platform in any environment that your Jewish masters disapprove of is not fit to speak to the African community in London?

2) Marcus Garvey is arguably the greatest African leader of the 20th Century. There is no one (including his children) more knowledgeable about the legacy of Marcus Garvey than Professor Tony Martin, so why deprive the African community of that knowledge?

3) Why do you kowtow to a few Jews who object to him continuing to expose their duplicity in relation to African people and our history?

4) What is this "close association" you refer to between Professor Tony Martin and "extreme right wing academics and organisations" that left you with "no alternative but to withdraw" the invitation?

5) What evidence do you have of a "close association" between Tony Martin and anti-African academics and organisations which would make him essentially a traitor to our community?

6) Can any African person or group of people dictate to the Jews who they should invite to their conferences or who they can and can't listen to?

I await your speedy response.

Sis. Carol Taylor's Response to the "Robotic" Lee Jasper

As The First Black U.S. Flight Attendant, the President/Founder of The Institute For "Interracial" Harmony, Incorporated, as a BlackActivist of recognized-longstanding and an Elder, I strenuously object to Lee Jasper's robotic revocation of the invitation, to the Hon. Tony Martin, tenured Wellesley Professor, to speak at the (London) Mayor's First Voice Conference, Lodnon, England, October, 2003.

If this socially retarded action is reflective of the state of Color Relations (not 'race relations' - there is only ONE 'race,' the HUMAN one), in merry old England, then the inhabitants of that island are in dire trouble.

Dr. Martin is one of the most gifted, brilliant academicians of our century. His ability for accurately assessing racist/colorist strategies of special interest groups is flawless - as is amply demonstrated in his "The Jewish Onslaught." Would-be tacticians are advised to study "The Art of War;' they should also be advised to study Dr. Martin's "The Jewish Onslaught" - because it is a multifaceted operations guide for everyday Black African survival.

Lee Jasper has perpetrated an illogical, mindless guilt-by-association action which, in my estimation, renders him counterproductive to the progressive, anti-colorist programs of the many organizations with which I understand he is connected, including Member of the Mayor's Advisory Cabinet responsible for 'race relations,' National AntiRacist Network, National Black Alliance, Scotland Yard Op. Trident Lay Advisory Group, National Assembly Against Racism, National Black Student Alliance, Black Jewish Forum, among far too many others, considering his senseless, untreated racist/colorist action against Dr. Martin.

I am truly appalled.

Response from the Hon Marcus Garvey's UNIA to the "Rude" Lee Jasper

To whom it may concern,

As the 3rd Assistant President General of the Universal Negro Improvement Association-African Communities League of the world, I am very surprised you have decided to place your upcoming First Voice Conference on the wrong side of Ourstory History. Dr. Carter G. Woodson, Hon. Marcus Garvey, and countless other ancestors would strongly condemn and object to your rude revocation of invitation to Dr. Tony Martin tenured Wellesley Professor, Author & Publisher of the New Marcus Garvey Library and world renowned as well as respected educator.

As a Garveyite and student of the works, words and deeds of both Hon. Marcus Garvey and Dr. Carter G. Woodson, I am also very disappointed and upset, that you have made this critical mistake in history. Dr. Tony Martin is very sincere to the cause of Race First, Self Reliance, and the upliftment of Africans at home and abroad, and

to label him anything else is completely unfounded and not a true account of his character.

Since you have taken this incorrect position in our story and current history in the making during Oct. 2003, we shall be left with no choice, but speak the truth to our people at home and abroad. Our Brothers and Sisters in the UK are not so unaware to except this critical action in a month which has been called Black Heritage Month, inspired by the Black History Month held in the USA and founded by Dr. Carter G. Woodson.

Here in the USA we are beginning to wonder what your true purpose and objective is, since it seems that you have lost sight of the true intent of our Black/African Heritage Commemorations. The Truth Crushed to Earth Has Risen and no one will be able to stop the TRUTH to be Spoken to Power whether within or outside of our African Race.

As a Parent Body member of the greatest of African Associations the world has ever know at home and abroad, I warn you and your staff that Facts shall always maintain themselves.

I remain to Serve, Senghor Jawara Baye-EL 3rd Assistant President General UNIA-ACL of the world

UK Black History Month Event Background, by Lester Lewis

Weekly Column 29 September 2003

TELLING THE AFRICAN STORY

October has come around again so it is Black History Month (BHM) in Britain. But the one thing that hardly happens in BHM is the telling of the African Story. The Black activists who pioneered the teaching of Black history in Britain are struggling to get a look in as the government, through the National Lottery Commission, has launched a determined campaign to hijack BHM.

BHM is an import from the USA. It was the North American African historian Carter G. Woodson who pioneered Negro History Month is the US in the early part of the last century. Woodson was concerned that the history of the African peoples of the world was being told by Europeans. They wrote Black history as the story of the conqueror for the conquered. He wrote two books on the subject. These are The Miseducation of the Negro and The Education of the Negro prior to 1861. So BHM in the USA was meant to correct this miseducation.

Similarly, Black children who go to school in Britain are being miseducated. That is why, when the Hackney Black Peoples Association launched a series of public lectures on Black History starting in 1984, they were very well attended. The first public lectures were given by Dr. Leonard Jeffries, then Head of the Department of Black studies at City College in New York as part of the Hackney Black Arts and Cultural Festival.

At that time, Dan Thea, the Kenyan Head of the Hackney Race Equality Unit was assisting HBPA. The establishment of Race Equality Units in local authorities was a response to the youth rebellion of the early 80s. In his book Staying Power, Peter Fryer shows that black youths staged rebellions against racial oppression in numerous British cities.

It was the apparent popularity of these public lectures that led to the Greater London Council-Inner London Education Authority being persuaded by Addai Sebo to adopt October as BHM in Britain. Since then, it has become a national phenomenon. One report suggests that as many as 1400 events are planned nationally for this month. The one thing that is not being dealt with is the demand by school students to be taught their own history in English schools.

Conscious of their racial and cultural identities, Black school students are alienated by being forced to learn the history of other peoples and cultures as though as a racial and cultural group, Africans have no history. This cultural alienation is the principal factor that has led to Black school students rejecting what they are taught in other subjects. The continued suspension of Black boys is a result of an African Cultural Resistance Movement in English schools. But the real consequence of this cultural alienation is the extremely high proportion of Black school leavers who leave school without any academic qualifications.

From since the 1960s, this problem has been apparent in English schools, hence the Swan Commission and numerous other commissions to look at the so-called underachievement of Black children. Black youths are being told that they are under achievers. The truth is that they are being miseducated. That is what Carter G. Woodson wanted to deal with in establishing Negro History Month. Not only central government, but numerous local authorities have focused on underachievement rather than cultural education through miseducation.

In the 1980s, Brent Local Education Authority set up what was supposed to be a sophisticated programme to promote racial equality in Education. But they were looking at the wrong target. One of the questions they asked was "Why Black children resist what they were being taught in schools?" The solution they came up with was a Cognitive Modification Programme imported from Israel. I wrote about this at the time and said the purpose was to perform psychological experiments in the classroom in order to change toe cognitive styles of Black children. Certain sections of he Jewish Community took umbrage to this and launched a scurrilous campaign against this writer in the Jewish controlled media.

Berkshire Local Education Authority had adopted a comprehensive policy of Education for Racial Equality. Not that it made much difference to what was happening in the schools in the Royal county. When they attempted to change this to introduce a cognitive modification programme under the guise of an Action Plan, it led to outrage. The Action Plan was withdrawn after a campaign led by Berkshire County Councillor Joe Williams.

Rather than deal with this problem of cultural alienation, the authorities are attempting to hijack BHM and use it as an instrument for controlling Blacks. It started with the Home Office using the Commission for Racial Equality to produce glossy magazines for BHM and using them as a tool to recruit young Blacks into the army and police. This strategy failed. Next came the National Lottery Commission. It put up £500,000 for BHM. Most of the money went to established British institutions like the British Museum. Black organisations hardly got a look in. This year, the Victoria and Albert Museum has a month long programme for BHM including food tasting.

Also this year, London Mayor Ken Livingstone and his flunkey Lee Jasper are promoting themselves as champions of Black History. But Lee Jasper is a Jewish agent working within the Black Community. Jewish agencies funded his 1990 Trust and promoted it as a force for positive change within the Black community. But the opposite is true as witnessed by its Operation Black Vote.

Jasper and the 1990 Trust mounted an expensive London wide campaign to persuade Black people to go out and vote for the Labour Party. This is opposite to the Campaign for Black Representation that surfaced in Hackney in the 1980s. It had positive outcomes with the selection and election of Diane Abbot as the Member of Parliament for Hackney North and Stoke Newington and the election of nineteen Black Councillors in Hackney in 1986. But that campaign could not withstand the onslaught launched against it by white members of the Labour party.

It was the success of that campaign that persuaded Jasper and his funders to launch Operation Black Vote. Despite its massive funding, not a single Black Member of Parliament or a single Black Councillor has been elected as a result of Operation Black Vote. Only one Black MP has been elected since the 1980s. This is David Lammy who succeeded Bernie Grant. He is very well educated, very intelligent and articulate. The only problem is that he is being used to promote the New Colonialism. Has anyone heard Lammy utter a single word criticising the US-British invasion and occupation of Iraq despite the massive opposition within the black community? Like Colin Powell and Condoleeza (condemned) Rice in the USA, he will go far.

It was also interesting to note that Jasper wrote a paper putting himself forward as leader of the campaign for reparations for slavery and colonialism in Britain. This was rejected by Pan Africanists in the forefront of the campaign. He also tried to disrupt the Marcus Garvey birthday celebrations in Brixton last year. He planned an open-air rally right next to the rally celebrating Garvey's 115th birthday. Apart from the sound hired sound systems meant t! o play loud music to drown out the speakers at the Marcus Garvey event, only the police and paid staff of the 1990 trust turned up. They were forced to call off their event. What became clear is that this much promoted spokesman for the black community has no real support within this community and that he spoke only for himself and his funders.

But the history of the African peoples of the world is being written by from an African cultural standpoint by Africans with the European contact being seen purely as an African experience. Historians such as the late Cheikh Anta Diop of Senegal, Theophile Obenga of Congo and Professor Adu Boahen of Ghana forced UNESCO to adopt that position in writing the General History of Africa. Indeed, a new school of history has developed among African scholars who follow in the footsteps of Diop.

Using the pages of the French language presence Africaine, Diop articulated the view that human civilisation developed in Africa (see his African Origin of Civilisation Myth or Reality). This view was rejected by his teachers at the Sorborne in Paris where he studied for his doctorate. Having originally refused him his PhD, they could not refuse him when he marshaled witnesses and the evidence of history to support the fact.

European writers of the African story have tended to write Africans out of history. But when Africans were civilised and lived in cities, Europe had not been named and was still virgin forest. It was the Africans from who built the first university in Europe at Salamanca in Spain, then a colony of the Almorovides who initially came from the area around Senegal. The news from Spain is that the Basques are seeking autonomy and eventually independence from Spain. What the Spanish will never tell you is that one of their most famous cities, Barcelona, was founded by the African Hamilcar Barca, the father of Hannibal, the most famous military strategist in history.

The British objection to the teaching of Black history in British schools may be concerned with the history of black people in Britain. In early British history, Blacks are not in the lowly position they are in today. Blacks are shown as Kings, rulers, invaders and conquerors. They appear in various aspects of British mythology including the mythological story of the legendary King Arthur.

Blacks ruled in Scotland and Nothumbria. Black rulers in Britain imposed the head tax from which the term blackmail comes. It was known as watch money or mail money and because it was a tax imposed by Blacks, it eventually became known as Blackmail. It was the long held memory of this head tax first imposed by Blacks that led to such mass resistance when Margaret Thatcher imposed a poll tax that was similar in nature. The negative connotations to the word black in the English only arose when the Blacks were defeated in Scotland in 1445. So we see that Blacks have been written out of the British story.

It is a shame and a pity that in some African countries, the European version of the African story i.e. the story of the conqueror is still being taught in their schools. In one of his books, Chinweizu complained about writing by African writers writing from a European standpoint being taught in African universities as the only African literature. He described this as being like a mangrove of hybrid saplings in the vast and ancient forest of African literature.

We may soon see the publication of some of the older African writings. The works of Ahmed Baba, who wrote over forty books while teaching at the University of Timbuktu, should be published. So should the epic poem written about Sundiata. Legend has it that the families in Mali preserved these writings. Diasporan Africans make regular pilgrimages to Timbuktu.

In the meantime, with so many events planned for BHM, the question is whether these events tell the African story or whether the British Government will succeed in its attempt to hijack another African institution. Already, BHM is being promoted as an Afro-Asian event. But in the 1980s, the Home Office through one of its arms, the Commission for Racial Equality, gave instructions that Asians should not be described as black. But where money and the distortion of the African story is concerned, changing one's racial identity comes easily.

JEWS AND AFRICAN STORY: THE ATTACK ON TONY MARTIN BY BRITISH JEWS

by Lester Lewis

The front page of the Zionist JEWISH CHRONICLE of Friday October 17, 2003 carries the headline: "Livingstone bars anti-Jewish historian from conference." One can trust the Zionist Chronicles to to spread confusion about an issue that has enraged he Black community in London. Martin has been barred from speaking on the conference platform. He is not barred from attending the conference. Professor Tony Martin is a lecturer at Wellesley College, USA and the world's foremost scholar on the life and works of the Honourable Marcus Garvey. He was invited to speak at a Black History conference in London organised by Ken Livingstone, the Mayor of London. The invitation was withdrawn on the basis of the correspondence reproduced here.

(October 15, 2003 Jasper letter, above)

Despite claims to the contrary by the Zionist Chronicles, what has emerged is that the Jewish Chronicle, in collaboration with other Jews and Zionists, put pressure on London Mayor Ken Livingstone to withdraw the invitation to Tony Martin.

This is the second time that Jews have decided that they will determine who will speak to the Black community in London. The first was when they had Louis Farrakhan banned in 1986. That this is an international Jewish conspiracy to humiliate and insult the black community in Britain can not be denied. They have fought a long and bitter campaign against Tony Martin. Yet they have been unsuccessful in their objective of having him dismissed from his post at Wellesley College.

They were upset when Dr. Martin put a new book on the reading list for his students. This book is entitles THE SECRET RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BLACKS AND JEWS. All the information contained in the book was taken from ! written Jewish sources so it is irrefutable. Notwithstanding, the Jews branded Tony Martin as anti-semitic.

For the record, Semitic is a linguistic term. Most of the Semitic languages are spoken in Africa. Also, being a Jew has nothing to do with race or ethnicity. Judaism, the Jewish religion is multi-racial and multi-lingual.

Now, Wellesley College is where the white protestant American establishment sends their daughters to finishing school. Hillary Clinton, wife of former US President Bill Clinton, is a former student at Wellesley. In the middle of their campaign against Martin, the Jews were humiliated by former students who held a grand banquet in honour of the distinguished Professor.

Besides that, Tony Martin answered the Jewish-Zionist attack in a book entitled, The Jewish Onslaught: Despatches from the Wellesley Battlefront. This is available in bookshops in London. Here, Professor Martin details the machinations, lies and anti-African racist propaganda of Mary Lefkowitz who led the campaign against him, and other Jewish-Zionist writers.

But why is a White London Mayor getting involved in organising events for Black History Month in Britain. The month of October is designated BHM in Britain. It came on the back of a series of popular Black History lectures organised by Pan African activists in London. It now seems that the purpose was to make it a British establishment event to be used as one of the tools for controlling Black people in Britain. In this regard, the British authorities have been trying to hijack an African event and turn it into a multi-racial event including Asians and Jews.

The vehicle first used for this purpose was the Commission for Racial Equality, an arm of the Home Office and thus a part of the state machinery. It began by publishing glossy magazines and using them to try to recruit blacks into the ranks of the British army and police. That strategy having failed, the next vehicle was the National Lottery Commission. In 2001, the NLC put up £500,000 ($800,000) for BHM in a blaze of publicity. Most of the money went to the British Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum, institutions for the promotion of British imperialist culture.

London Mayor Ken Livingstone is also using the financial muscle of the Greater London Authority as part of the process of hijacking BHM, of defining the African story which for the white rulers of Britain, is the story of the conqueror for the conquered.

It is a fact of life that some blacks who describe themselves as radicals are cynical careerists and opportunists who follow the money. Most of them are colonials who betray the Black cause when they are called upon to do so. Not surprisingly, a number of them ended up in the equalities and policing unit in he Mayor's office. In the case of lee Jasper, he volunteered to work as an agent of Jews and Zionists within the Black community, promoting himself as a black leader but not saying on whose behalf he is working.

Jasper came to prominence with the launch of the Jewish financed 1990 Trust. It fell to him ! to carry out the instructions of the Jews to bar Tony Martin from speaking at the conference. He has publicly stated that his ambition is to become a Labour Party Member of Parliament. He has the support of the metropolitan police and his Jewish masters. He is notorious for trying to disrupt an open-air rally held in Brixton in August 2002 to celebrate the 115th birthday of the Honourable Marcus Garvey.

Jasper also put himself forward as leader of the African Reparations Movement in Britain but Reparations activists have shunned him. As part of Livingstone's BHM programme, he put himself forward as a candidate for the title of Greatest Black Britain. Also on the list is Baroness Valerie Amos who has been brought in as a replacement speaker for Tony Martin. Previously, she has not shown any interest in Black History. She is notorious for attending the United Nations World Conference Against Racism in South Africa in 2001 to argue that slavery is not a crime against humanity. She represented the British government at that event.

Another person on the list is Queen Sophia Charlotte Micklenburg who as queen of Britain during the days of slavery, never lifted a finger in condemnation of this inhuman practice. The list includes names of historical Africans who lived in Britain at some time in their lives. Notable absentees from the list include Kwame Nkrumah and the Honourable Marcus Garvey.

It seems that anyone who does not speak of the Jews in glowing terms is branded anti-semitic. The London Guardian newspaper reported that "A senior editor of he US based New Republican magazine has apologised for writing in his column that the producers of the film 'Kill Bill' are Jewish Executives who worship money." At the same time, the Jews launched an international campaign to condemn Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad as racist and anti-semitic. Mohamad told a conference in Malaysia that "Jews are running the world by proxy."

But Mohathir Mohamad is no racist. He ! staunchly supported Zimbabwe in its conflict with Britain. Anyone who doubts that Jews seek to control the world by proxy should look at the architects of the Project for the New American Century under which the US invaded and occupied Iraq. They are mainly Jews. They forced US President George Bush to overplay his hand and now the US stands exposed as a declining power.

Doubters can also read Shingai Rukwata Ndoro's SECRET RIGHT WING FORCES AGAINST ZIMBABWE. This shows how Jews are the leading force financing the campaign against President Robert Mugabe and the Land Reform Programme in Zimbabwe.

I too have personal experience of a Jewish hate campaign in the Jewish controlled media. Like Tony Martin, I found myself on the front page of the Jewish Chronicle in 1988. I was then working as a Community Relations Officer at the Reading Council for Racial Equality. The Jewish hate campaign was aimed at having me dismissed from my post.

My crimes were that I had pointed out a cognitive Modification Modification programme imported from Israel that was to be used on Black children attending school in the London borough of Brent. The purpose was to change the cognitive styles of Black children who rejected what they were being taught in these schools. My second crime was that I had campaigned to lift the ban on Louis Farrakhan entering Britain, imposed at the instigation of British Jews.

An inquiry found that while there were a lot of accusations, there was no evidence of me being anti-Jewish. The only evidence seen by the inquiry was of me doing things for the benefit of Jews. My evidence to the Inquiry was the contents of Psalms chapter 35 in the Holy Torah. They failed in their campaign just as they have failed miserably in heir campaign against Tony Martin.

I take the view that if the Jewish story as told in the Holy Torah is to be believed then the Jews an ungrateful people who should bow down to Blacks. After all, we have saved them three times in their history. These Jews, who today practice anti-African racism as the norm have forgotten one thing they learned during their sojourn in Africa. This is the African teaching that "Things turn into their opposites." Since they have forgotten, their own history should teach them the truth of that saying. With the decline of United States imperialism, they will find it increasingly difficult to get others to do their bidding.
